The exclusive 2020 Trends report was released at this meeting, which is highlighted in this report.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Restaurant Trends <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Established &amp; Growing<\/strong> \u2013 Plant-based menus, Pop-up\/Experiential and Chef Driven Fast Casual<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>At its Peak and Losing Steam<\/strong> \u2013 Food Trucks, Small Plates, Hyper-Local and Lifestyle Diet Menus<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emerging<\/strong> \u2013 CBD Menus, Upcycling, Cashless and Cash-free<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Making a Come Back<\/strong> \u2013 Family Friendly, Food Halls, Reimagined Small Plates<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to a recent study by <strong>Y-Pulse<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> (ypulse.org) <\/strong>look for the emergence of a new segment of the foodservice industry <strong>\u201cmarketplace fast casual\u201d<\/strong> driven by the demands of younger consumers and shaped by the popularity of farmers markets and food halls.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>International Food Trends <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The most influential parts of the world on the American food scene today were identified as: <strong>Regional Mexican, Latin America and South East Asia. <\/strong>In the next 3 to 5 years, look for North and East Africa, The Balkans and Caucasus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Many of these <strong>regions focus more on vegetables and grains<\/strong> and introduce unconventional varieties of fruits and vegetables.
